According to
Mumbai Mirror, 'Parineeti plays a strong character and has really liked the
script. The makers have started prep. Huge sets of the Saragarhi and Gulistan
forts, as well as a village, will be erected in Wai, a town in Satara
district'.
The film is being
produced by Karan Johar and Salman Khan.

ago. Salman
Khan was merrily producing Battle Of Saragarhi with Dharma Productions. And then suddenly, decided against it.
The
story began when Reshma Shetty & Co apparently told Salman that Ajay Devgn
had decided to drop the idea of producing this subject, which he was planning
under his own banner, Devgn Films. Suddenly, one day, Salman happened to
meet Ajay. The conversation casually veered towards Battle Of Saragarhi when
Salman told Ajay that he is producing the film as he has shelved his original
plan under Devgn Films.Devgn turned around and said, "Well, I was making
it and I had even told your team about it. But it's perfectly fine if you are
doing it. Plus koi baat nahin, I am really happy for you. No issues at my end.
Please do go ahead." Salman was aghast, and he almost fell off the chair.

this film forward.
The report also said, 'The actors will be provided with a lot of material for
their parts and will start full-time prep close to the shooting date'.

further stated that 'Khiladi Kumar has finished shooting for R Balki's Padman,
which also features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, and is now filming for Reema
Kagti's sports-drama, Gold. Parineeti is busy promoting Rohit Shetty's Golmaal
Again with Ajay Devgn and will soon start filming for Vipul Shah's Namaste
Canada with her Ishaqzaade co-star Arjun Kapoor'.
